Lotus Revises Electric Lineup for New Zealand

Lotus‘ hyper electric duo, the Eletre and Emeya have been available in the country since last year. The two cars combine luxury, performance and technology, proving to be extremely capable in both ‘S’ and ‘R’ trims.

With the 2025 model year rolling around, Lotus has confirmed their revised ‘600’ and ‘900’ variants of the two cars are now available in the country. The goal is to offer “more convenience, clarity and customisation” for its customers. History is still paramount for the brand as it sees the return of ‘GT SE’ and ‘SPORT’ to denote equipment levels.

‘600’ and ‘900’ reference the power outputs available across the Eletre and Emeya range, the two vehicles offering popular combinations of options right off the bat. A total of six trim levels now exist, allowing customers more choice when it comes to luxury, sportiness and technology. Eletre 600, 600 GT SE, 600 SPORT SE, 900 SPORT and 900 SPORT CARBON which becomes the brand’s new flagship. The Emeya following suit.

Optional packages are still aplenty with two new colours also available, Zenith White and Akoya White. On the inside, ‘Quartz’ and ‘Jasper’ offer two new interior combinations with LOTUSWEAR Performance Fabric’ also available to to option.

As with the outgoing trim levels, performance is still paramount. The ‘900’ cars can do the 0-100 kph sprint in 2.78 seconds and go on to 256kph (Emeya ‘900’) and 265kph (Eletre ‘900’). The ‘600’ branded cars are no slouches either, completing the same sprint in 4.15 seconds. Eletre ‘600’ also offers 600km of range while the Emeya with ‘Advanced Lotus Hyper Charging’ can go from 10-80% in 14 minutes using a 400kW DC charger! It’s not just one of the fastest EVs in the world but also one of the fastest charging EVs!

Both cars continue to embody Lotus’ ‘For The Drivers’ philosophy, employing ‘porosity’; in their designs. Porosity being the principle of air flow through, under, over and around the vehicle.

The range now begins at $189,900 for the Eletre and Emeya 600 while the range topping Eletre and Emeya Sport Carbon models can be had from $279,900. The revised range will join the 2025 model year Emira which is also available from Lotus Auckland..
