First came the PV5, a hollowed out cargo van ready for work, built on Kia’s ‘Platform Beyond Vehicle’ or ‘PBV’ platform which has now led to the creation of the PV7. It shares plenty with its smaller sibling but the PV7 is the van for those needing even more room!

Set to make its debut at the IAA Transportation Show in Hannover, Germany later on this month, the PV7 expands Kia’s offering in the light commercial vehicle segment, adding more “space and capability” over the PV5.

Key design elements are retained including the ‘one-box profile’, contrasting black hood and signature lighting, both front and rear. However, the PV7 promises even more “use cases” for commercial as well as lifestyle buyers so its likely that seating configurations will be available along with a cargo variant.

There’s plenty more to come from Kia at IAA 2026 as the brand has promised to unveil a range of PV5s that will highlight the versatility of their ‘Platform Beyond Vehicle.’
