Nissan will show three off-road concepts at SEMA in Las Vegas, led by a twin-turbo Frontier pickup. It says the builds will help shape future accessories and could feed into production models.
Nissan is heading to the 2026 SEMA Show with three off-road concepts. The most interesting is a Frontier pickup with a twin-turbocharged V6. All three are show builds and none is for sale. Still, Nissan has form in turning SEMA ideas into showroom models, so they deserve a closer look.
The Frontier, Pathfinder and Armada concepts will be on Nissan’s stand (#21521) in Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 3 to 6 November. Nissan says they point to the rugged style and performance it plans for future trucks and SUVs. They are also meant to give current owners ideas for their own builds.

Frontier RONIN: More Boost, Wider Stance
The Frontier RONIN takes its name from the Japanese term for a “masterless warrior”. The headline change is a twin-turbo version of the Frontier’s 3.8-litre V6. Nissan says it makes more power but hasn’t given a figure, which is a frustrating gap on a performance-focused build.
Suspension parts from the Nissan Titan widen the track by 12 inches and raise the truck by more than four inches. That leaves room for 35-inch Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tyres on prototype 17-inch NISMO Ascend beadlock wheels. NISMO Off Road rock sliders, driving lights and a spare tyre carrier come fitted, along with a custom big-brake kit. Inside are sport bucket seats, extra gauges for the turbo engine and seatbelts with a topographic map pattern. Nice.
Pathfinder XE-V6: A 40th Birthday Throwback
The Pathfinder turns 40 this year, and the XE-V6 concept looks back to the first-generation WD21 model. Its retro badging nods to that car’s optional 3.0-litre V6. Today’s Pathfinder still uses a V6, rated at 284hp, or 295hp in Rock Creek form.
The red paint with black, charcoal and silver stripes borrows from 1980s Patrol graphics. Underneath, the 2027 Pathfinder gets a custom four-inch lift and Geolandar tyres on 18-inch prototype NISMO wheels. It also gains high-clearance bumpers, a roof rack and a swing-out rear carrier for a full-size spare.

Armada Jungle Patrol: Safari Mode
The biggest transformation goes to the Armada. The Jungle Patrol concept pays tribute to Nissan SUVs that have earned their reputation in desert and safari conditions. It has an open roof, a tubular roll cage and inward-facing seats, as you would find on a proper safari vehicle.
It rides on 37-inch Yokohama Geolandar tyres and custom long-travel suspension. Custom steel bumpers and fender flares protect the body, while NISMO Off Road lights help in dark, remote places.
Why the Show Cars Matter
SEMA concepts are often easy to ignore, but Nissan’s track record makes these harder to wave away. The company says its current Rock Creek line-up, covering the Rogue, Kicks and Pathfinder, grew out of earlier SEMA builds. It adds that some of the Nissan and NISMO parts on these concepts may be sold through dealers.
Then there’s the brief mention of an all-new Xterra. Kim Less, Nissan Americas’ vice president of aftersales and customer loyalty, named it among the more capable trucks and SUVs to come. Nissan gave no other details, but the remark suggests these concepts are partly a test of what off-road buyers want from its next models.
