We are now just 7 days away from the “unboxing” of the new Volvo EX30. Set to take place in Milan on the 7th of June, the reveal will also be livestreamed. Their smallest SUV ever, the EX30 will represent several breakthroughs for Volvo.

Designed to create the smallest CO2 of any Volvo ever made, the EX30 offers no compromises with plenty of range still on offer. Over 200,000 kms of driving, the emissions are now below 30 tonnes of CO2, that’s 25% less than the C40 and XC40 Recharge models! Most of this was in the production of the car with the EX30 being a small SUV, hence using less material from the get go.

EX30 will be the most Carbon efficient Volvo yet!

25% of the Aluminium used in the car is recycled as well as 17% of the steel. 17% of the car’s overall plastic components are also recycled, the highest of any Volvo to date. The factory where EX30 will be built is powered by 100% climate neutral electricity. Volvo have also been more conscious with their suppliers’ energy sources as well as tracing supply of raw materials.

Safety like you’ve never seen it before!

The Swedish brand calls it the “small electric SUV that does big Volvo things.” And there is nothing bigger than safety when it comes to Volvo. For starters, the new EX30 comes with a door opening alert to warn you of passing cyclists and other road users. The safety cage, roof and A, B, C pillars have all been beefed up too. This is one to keep an eye on!
