I was lucky enough to be one of the first people in NZ to get behind the wheel of Bentley’s new flagship the Mulsanne Speed. This 530bhp/395kW, 1,100Nm thing of beauty; should seriously be invited to take its place on the list of the world’s wonders – it is remarkable.
A mighty 6.7L twin turbo V8 engine beats virtually unheard as you savour the Mulsanne’s opulent interior but it can effortlessly glide you from 1-100 in 4.8 seconds and (although I unfortunately can’t prove this) has a top speed of 305km/h.
The cabin is a plethora of handcrafted detailing; fine materials such as Tamo Ash, carbon fibre and sumptuous hides lavish you in quintessential British luxury while concealing a suite of technology and connectivity that would rival a Superyacht’s.
Designed and engineered in Crewe, the Bentley Mulsanne Speed is one of the most outstanding driving experiences I have ever had.
