First presented in 1983, the Renault Espace took the world by storm and would go on to become a segment definer as far as MPVs went. Now, Renault will celebrate 40 years since the concept’s inception and to mark the occasion, they are bringing the nameplate back. The Espace will return in a different guise this time, appearing as a 5- & 7-seater SUV.

Returning for a sixth generation, the new Espace will be a 7-seater family SUV designed for long journeys and will be built on the Alliance’s CMF-CD platform. Renault are adamant that like the ones gone before, the new Espace will offer the same space and comfort for families along with top of the range equipment. And like the previous Espaces, it will also handle unlike any other MPV in its class!

Considered by Renault as the first “voiture a vivre” (a car for living), expect to see the sixth generation car as a complete transformation of the nameplate while still retaining the values that made its predecessors so widely known!

Four generations of the Espace brought together

The new Renault Espace will break cover in spring 2023.
