In response to strong public demand, Ford is taking the F-150 Lightning electric truck global! And the first stop is Norway, the world’s “EV Capital”. To kick things off, Ford has launched a limited run F-150 Lightning Lariat Launch Edition and applications can now be submitted to purchase this.
Per Gunnar Berg, Managing Director of Ford Norway who has spent 25 years with the company said he’s “never seen anything like the passion and demand” that Norwegians have for the Lightning. He went on to say “I’ve had customers literally banging on my door and pleading for us to bring the electric pickup truck to Norway.”
F-150 Lightning offers buyers an off-road capable truck while still embracing Ford’s passion for the planet. This move is a big step towards Ford’s zero emissions goals in Europe.
The Norwegian version of the F-150 Lightning Lariat Launch Edition will be offered exclusively in the Super Crew Cab body style in Antimatter Blue metallic. Limited numbers of these cars will be available from the Ford authorized dealer network which spans more than 70 Ford EV dealers across Norway. Deliveries for Norwegian customers will begin next year.
