First launched in 1976, the Ford Fiesta became an instant hit as the supermini of choice for many. Through the 9 generations and 46 years, the Fiesta nameplate etched itself into the hearts of the people thanks to its universal appeal.

The sporty ST went a step further, earning worldwide recognition as one of the best hot hatches around. Now, Ford have called time on the iconic nameplate with a fitting tribute:

It’s a sad reflection of the ‘SUV world’ that we live in where truly capable and affordable cars like the Fiesta have become a casualty of both electrification and the shift towards higher riding vehicles. However, Ford has reassured that this is the start of an exciting new chapter so we will wait and see!
