In a first for Lotus Cars, the brand unveiled their first four-door hyper-GT in New York City earlier this week. The Emeya not only open up a new frontier for Lotus but also sets a new benchmark for the brand in both engineering and design.

Billed as an “electric car that is exciting to drive and performance exceptionally”, Emeya is the culmination of the 75 years of expertise. ‘Hyperstance’ is a a low centre of gravity, allowing the hyper-GT to smash expectations for handling in the GT segment.

Emeya is a hyper-GT for a new age!

A sensor operated electronically controlled air suspension set-up adjusts 1,000 times a second to produce a smooth ride. Top speed is 155mph (250kph) and the 0-100kph sprint is achieved in just 2.8 seconds! And the mind boggling speeds don’t end there with 150km of range being added in just five minutes at a 350kW DC charger.

Emeya is as intelligent as it is fast

There’s plenty of thinking gone on in the inside too with fabrics made from repurposed fibres from the fashion industry, there’s PVD aluminium, Nappa leather and Ultrafabrics PU to lighten the Emeya’s carbon footprint too. The sound system is equally unrivalled with KEF audio creating a Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound, similar to what featured on the Lotus Eletre.
