Set to be unveiled this Thursday at the Seoul Mobility Show, Kia’s second generation Niro is the latest in a series of radical new cars to come from the Korean powerhouse. The most recent of which was the EV9 Concept. The brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design ethos strongly influences the styling of the new car.

Launched 5 years ago, the Niro quickly became the cornerstone of Kia’s electric movement with the e-Niro emerging as the brand’s first pure EV. Unlike the EV6 which has been designed an EV from the ground up, the previous generation Niro shared a platform with its combustion powered relative. It’s expected that the new model will follow the same philosophy.

The teaser images reveal the radical styling of the car which takes inspiration from Kia’s 2019 HabaNiro concept. The 2022 model appears to include two-tone paint, a single spoke steering wheel and a twin screen dashboard among other features!
