It’s official, McLaren has announced that they are now taking final orders for the 750S supercar. The car’s journey began a decade ago with the launch of the 720S which then evolved into the 750S come 2023 and after four years of production, it’s time for the car’s curtain call.

720S introduced the world to a new type of McLaren, the supercar not only featured “innovative design, engineering and aerodynamic principles” but it succeeded at being lightweight yet powerful with a V8 unit in tow. The 750S came later on and while the vehicles may have looked near identical, the latter model shared only 70% of its development with the 720S, 30% of the car was either new or improved.

Introduction of the MSO service meant that clients were able to uniquely specify their cars with McLaren themselves creating a few one-off to showcase their creative abilities. 750S then morphed into the 765LT and then the 788HS which was limited to 200 examples. It’s clear that the 720S and 750S have been incredibly important to McLaren’s continued development over the last decade which is why they leave the brand’s next model with some big shoes to fill!
