Volkswagen and Walt Disney Animation Studios have joined forces for Zootopia 2, the latest Disney animated film premiering on the 26th of November. The film will feature three animated “Wolfswagen” cars, namely the ID.3, ID.4 and ID.7 Tourer, all part of a global product placement initiative from the German manufacturer.
VW’s teaser features the three models in their “Zootopified” form, animated to match the style of the film as well as the song in which they play a part. The name “Wolfswagen” of course is a humorous take on the Volkswagen brand itself, in keeping with the “tongue in cheek” nature of the movie as well as being a move to expand the brand’s horizons to a new audience. This isn’t the first time either that Volkswagen has collaborated with Disney as both the Star Wars and Marvel Studios franchises have previously played a part in the launch of the ID. Buzz!
