Volkswagen Polo Celebrates 50 Years

Over the years, Hamburg’s ‘Miniatur Wunderland‘ in the ‘Speicherstadt’ (warehouse district) has become one of Germany’s most popular tourist attractions. To celebrate the 50th birthday of the iconic Volkswagen Polo, a very special display has been created.

This brilliantly themed display celebrates 50 years of the iconic Volkswagen Polo

Visitors and tourists can enjoy the sight of a bespoke car transporting train and themed display. Built on a 1:87 scale, the train will carry over 70 VW Polo models across 12 carriages, an incredibly memorable way to mark the nameplate’s birthday.

The car train is decorated with celebratory branding and will take the Polos on a tour of Hamburg, in miniature scale of course. Elbphilharmonie, Elbe bridges and the harbour are all on the cards with each stop also featuring billboards stating “50 Jahre Polo” or “50 Years of Polo” as it reads in English.
