Kia Australia Crosses 1 Million Mark

It’s official, Kia have notched more than one million vehicles sold in Australia alone. A Tasman X-Pro Dual Cab was the special vehicle in question. Purchased from Motorama Kia in Queensland, the delivery of which was attended by the brand’s bigwigs including Damien Meredith, CEO of Kia Australia.

First entering Australia in 1988 with the Rocsta, it took the brand three decades to cross the 500,000 mark which was officially achieved in 2018. The next 500,000 has taken just seven years by comparison! Kia’s Executive VP and Head of Global Operations Division, Ted Lee credited the brand’s success to its approach in tailoring vehicles to meet the needs of each particular region.

Safe to say that the Tasman is off to a flying start for Kia Australia and the story is much the same here with Kia New Zealand expecting big things, we attended its local launch last month.
