A very special ship is coming into shore later this week, it’s carrying the first batch of new Mitsubishi Outlanders to arrive in the country! And guess what, that shipment is almost sold out.
These cars were sold through Mitsubishi’s all new online pre-order platform where customers could put a deposit down to secure their new car.
Mitsubishi themselves were surprised at the success of the new Outlander despite the knowledge that interest was high in their latest arrival. Customers could pay a refundable $500 deposit to secure their new car until the 1st of October when the pre-launch info will be changed to full launch information.
Thanks to the success of their online platform, Mitsubishi have decided to extend the option for their upcoming Outlander PHEV. Due to arrive in 2022, pre-orders for the PHEV will open at the start of October. The Outlander PHEV is the country’s best-selling PHEV and the sales are expected to keep climbing thanks to the Clean Car Discount.
All new from the ground up, this new Outlander makes use of new design and technology which is offered across the three 2WD and three 4WD options. The five-seater entry level 2WD LS starts at $41,990 and includes Mitsubishi’s ‘Advanced Driver Assistance Systems’ (ADAS) along with Apple CarPlay and satnav.
The seven-seater XLS features synthetic suede and leather on the inside, heated front seats, 20 inch wheels and larger brakes. You also get rain-sensing wipers, triple zone climate control and wireless charging for your phone!
The top-spec VRX model has black leather upholstery (light grey is a $1,000 extra) across all seven seats with the driver and passenger getting 8-way adjustable electric seats. Also included is a panoramic sunroof, kicker tailgate and a Bose audio system!
