It was July 15th, 1941 when Willys Overland Inc first signed a contract with the US Army to build military Jeeps. The company have seen incredible changes in their history and continue to do so with hybrid tech now on their radar! The upcoming all new Grand Cherokee will be available as a plug in EV called the 4xe.

Alternatively, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe which debuted the technology contains a sealed waterproof battery pack so its electrics can perform in all conditions. Jeep also claim that it will do an incredible 3.5 l/100km in hybrid mode. The brand is also reviving their Wagoneer nameplate with the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer set to debut next year!

There’s been a lot of first in Jeep’s history! The Grand Wagoneer was the world’s first premium SUV when launched in 1963. The Cherokee XJ was the first compact SUV when launched in 1979. And in 1946, the Willy Wagon became the very first SUV!
