Ford dealers across 13 of America’s western states have donated to the ‘California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund‘. This brings Ford’s total contribution to the recovery up to $465,000, all of which will go towards relief efforts in the fire’s aftermath.
The Blue Oval’s charitable arm, Ford Philantropy has donated over $8m USD to disaster relief efforts across the United States since 2020 alone. Back to their efforts to aid recovery from the wildfires, Ford has offered deferred payments and employee pricing to displaced customers and are also covering the cost of charging for EV drivers, providing Mach-E and Lightning owners with Tesla adapters. Ford employees have also been offered paid time off to volunteer in disaster recovery!
Four main organizations have been carrying out the work with Ford’s support thus far, these include Team Rubicon, a military veteran led humanitarian organization, American Red Cross, Feeding America, an LA based food bank and Los Angeles Fire Department’s Foundation.
Kudos to Ford for their efforts in supporting disaster recovery from the Los Angeles Wildfires!
