Is this the scariest Ski run in the world?

With NZ Ski season essentially upon us, many Snow bucks and Bunnies will be dreaming of the white stuff that awaits at New Zealand’s finest resorts such as Mt Ruapehu, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.

However, we stumbled upon a slope that would surely strike fear in the most accomplished of skiers/boarders. It’s set in the Slopes Alpe d’Huez, it’s called Le Tunnel and it looks awesome!

Slopes Alpe d'Huez Le Tunnel

Le Tunnel · Length 3  km · Elevation difference 800 m.

Le Tunnel leads over the slopes on the front side of Pic Blanc, beneath the Pic Blanc gondola to the valley station of the Lac Blanc chair lift. The run and its branch offs are accessible via a 200 metre long tunnel. This leads from the glacier directly through the mountain ridge. It provides access to an expansive area with particularly steep, bumpy and unprepared runs.

It’s certainly NOT for the faint-hearted and your 4×4 is going to need chains.
