New Zealand’s national fieldays is upon us (I’m sure you’re aware) at Mystery Creek nr Hamilton. It’s a place for Farmers and the equipment they use to come together in one HUGE annual event – so you’d maybe assume there would be nothing to see for the rest us huh? you’d be the opposite of right.

I took a trip down early this week and found out that farmers are people too – something that our friends in the automotive field already knew.

Hyundai

Hyundai are major sponsors of the event and have a massive site right in the middle. Their full range is on display and a special guest being Mr Paddon.

Holden

Holden are showcasing a Magnum Ute, the Astra sedan and a Blackout Colorado which sits above a shipping container with a black-ops challenge – there are some small EV utes for the kids to drive too. and don’t forget to say hello to Mr Murphy and his Rally car.

Ford

Ford are showcasing their new ST line and EV Mondeo. They have also have crowd faves such as the Mustang and Ranger (with accessories)

Mercedes

Mercedes (yes Mercedes) are there with a stripped down G wagon and a VR display of their X-Class.

Lexus

Lexus have teamed up with Kate Sylvester and give you the chance to win some very upmarket gear

Skoda

Skoda have quite the vast site, with their new Kodiaq taking pride of place and a climbing wall for the kids.

Land Rover

Land Rover have gone upmarket with a showroom style site – Lions and Discovery’s feature well and there’s a VR area showcasing the Velar.

Volkswagen

VW have a fine display, from the Amarok to the EV Golf, a Kombi and the California. Good Soup too.

Jeep/Ram

Jeep and Ram (and Maserati – yes you heard that correctly) have their all terrain beast on display plus you may be luck enough to grab a fidget spinner.

Isuzu

Isuzu have extended out their off road display track – get behind the wheel and see how these trucks perform.

Suzuki

Suzuki have taken the cover off the new Sprint and it sits alongside the bikes and off road vehicles.

Yamaha

Yamaha have Bikes bikes and more bikes – their new farmer friendly 125 plus their fair share of off roaders.

I could go on….

There really is plenty to see, so best you grabbed the family (and the gumboots) and headed down for Saturday – I’ll see you there!
