Volvo have done it again! The Swedish manufacturer’s new EX90 fully electric SUV has achieved a maximum score of five stars during its recent Euro NCAP safety testing! The family friendly SUV ranks as one of the safest cars tested during the year and continues Volvo’s commitment to vehicle safety.

EX90 impressed in both adult and child protection categories with the brand’s 55 years of crash safety research continuing to hold it in good stead. Volvo have a database of 50,000 real world accidents that involved 80,000 people, and the brand use this research to continue to improve its safety technology. The data also helped create the ‘Volvo Cars Safety Standard’, a benchmark that exceeds the requirements for safety tests.

The EX90 also excels when it comes to preventive safety technology, using a suite of sensors and software to use real time data to work with its surroundings to “help anticipate and mitigate potential risks.” It’s new groundbreaking restraint system (seatbelt) also helps protect the car’s occupants. Euro NCAP’s latest award is just another feather in the EX90’s cap.
