Joined by a shared mission to make products that are “technical, accessible and inspiring”, Citroen and Rip Curl have been reunited once again. The brand’s first partnership was back in 2016 with the C4 Cactus, also resulting in subsequent special editions of the C3 Aircross and C4 Picasso as well as the Berlingo. Now, the two are looking to embody a “carefree spirit” once again through their latest collaboration.

The Citroen Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision will be unveiled during the finals of the Rip Curl GromSearch tournament in Hossegor, which the French automotive brand is keenly supporting. The event celebrates global competitors from the world of surfing, specifically in the under 16 category. All competing for one of the highest honours in the sport at that level. In this particular instance, the event will bring together both the Citroen and Rip Curl brands based on their common values of “freedom, adventure and a love for the great outdoors”.
Citroen will kit the event out with a fleet of vehicles, including an Ami and Ami Buggy for test runs. The fully electric Ami of course is available to drive/purchase from the age of 14 onwards which means that prospective owners don’t need a drivers license to get behind the wheel of one, surfers included!
