Kia Revolutionises Pickup Segment with All-New Tasman

Kia Corporation has unveiled its first-ever pickup truck, the Tasman, marking a bold entry into the competitive pickup segment. Set for a global launch in 2025, the Tasman promises to “dive into a new dimension” with its innovative design, advanced technology, and class-leading features.

The Tasman boasts best-in-class cargo capacity of 1,173 litres and introduces several groundbreaking features, including corner steps, an illuminated power outlet in the load bed, and a convenient sliding cargo floor. The vehicle’s advanced chassis and suspension technology delivers exceptional off-road capability while maintaining refined on-road performance.

Available in three trim levels – Baseline, X-Line, and X-Pro – the Tasman offers powerful engine options including a 281PS 2.5-litre petrol engine and a 210PS 2.2-litre diesel variant. The X-Pro model stands out with its 252mm ground clearance and specialized off-road features, including an electronic locking differential and X-Trek mode.

The interior combines practicality with modern technology, featuring a panoramic widescreen display system and premium amenities. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with trailer profile functionality enhance safety and convenience for both work and leisure activities.
