Behold the new BF300 V8 from Honda but this is not the kind of engine you’d find in the next gen Civic Type R. Instead, this is new large outboard motor was unveiled at the Dusseldorf Boat Show 2025. The engine will go on sale in Japan, Europe and Asia during the year, retailed by Honda Marine.

The engines were inspired by Honda’s “Noble Motion Form” design philosophy

The 302 cubic inch V8 puts out 300 horsepower and will run on regular petrol! Due to the recent increase in need for larger boats and therefore larger outboard motors in North America and Europe. Following on from the BF350, the BF300 adds another high output outboard motor to Honda’s marine offerings.

A cruise control function is included, allowing the user to set the boat speed or engine speed as well as the trim angle. An automatic lift function will allow for the motors to be lifted up/dropped down during docking/storage. Maintenance is easy too with the engine cover and oil filter places in accessible spots.
