Since 1977, Ford F-Series trucks have been America’s best-sellers. With more than 33 million units sold in 48 years, that is quite a statistic. It’s not surprising to see that these figures mean the F-Series has been the USA’s top selling vehicle overall for 43 years!

F-150 has been a cornerstone of the above figures and celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025. The range extends all the way up to the mighty F-600 with the F-Series’ strength being in its variety. There’s a powertrain, bed size, load and towing capacity for every customer. Options not only include petrol and diesel but hybrid and electric too with Ford’s ‘PowerBoost Hybrid’ technology debuting recently alongside the F-150 Lightning.
The innovation will continue into 2025 where Ford have cued a line of upgrades to roll out. These include the ‘BlueCruise’ hands-free highway driving system, ‘Pro Access Tailgate’, ‘Pro Trailer Hitch Assist’, ‘Smart Hitch’, Pro Trailer Backup Assist’ and ‘FordPro Vehicle Integration System 2.0’ to name a few. Further to these, the ‘Pro Power Onboard’ allows the F-150 to turn into a mobile power source and there have also been improvements to both the payload and towing capacity of the Super Duty.
