Polestar and Hot Wheels have collaborated to launch the Swedish brand’s 2024 Design Contest. The brief for this year invites designers to unleash the “imagination of their youth”. This will be the first instance of Polestar’s design DNA envisioned as a Hot Wheels collectible.
The winning design will become a Hot Wheels collectible, available across the world. The first Hot Wheels x Polestar collaboration and the commencement of a partnership between the two brands.
Polestar has encouraged entrants to be as imaginative as possible, pushing boundaries in every design department. The only rule is that it should be able to be turned into a 1:64 scale model.
To honour the competition’s history, shortlisted entrants will be coached by Polestar’s design team to refine submissions for the final selection. Beginning in 2020, the Polestar Design Contest has seen many designers go on to work for Polestar or join the professional design industry.
