Whether you’re a car enthusiast or foodie, you’ll know Michelin either through their tyres or Guides. The latter was originally developed as a reassurance for motorists at a time when road journeys were scary, it gave drivers certainty of lodging and food stops on their travels. Now, DS Automobiles and Michelin have collaborated to create a modern day guidebook for the EV traveler.

Called “The Art of Electric Travel”, the guide embodies “French avant-garde”. The book offers thirty routes through various parts of France, allowing the electric traveler to discover the country in “silence and serenity”. Designed by Michelin Editions and DS Automobiles with a foreword by author and historian, Mathieu Flonneau, the journeys include gastronomic stops, sports activities, new experiences, travel advice and charging points of course!

The guide accompanies the launch of DS No 8 and treats charging time as an enriching break, “art de vivre” as the French call it. It’s the idea of using these stops to make “unique and unusual discoveries”, although with 750km on the DS No 8, charging stops may be fewer than before!
