BMW has upped its game with the refreshed iX lineup, bringing increased power, sportier looks, and an extended electric range to the forefront. The new iX models – xDrive45, xDrive60 M Sport, and the top-tier M70 xDrive – promise refined performance, cutting-edge tech, and that unmistakable BMW flair. With a WLTP range of up to 426 miles, the xDrive60 M Sport sets a new benchmark, while the mighty M70 xDrive churns out an electrifying 659 hp and hits 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds.
These models are about more than just numbers. BMW has introduced elevated trims and design upgrades, such as stunning 23-inch light-alloy wheels, the iconic illuminated kidney grille, and seven new exterior paint options including the eye-catching Tanzanite Blue and Space Silver metallic finishes. Inside, the upgraded M Sport trim delivers a bold, sporty vibe with enhanced luxury that’s sure to turn heads.

The revamped electric drivetrains benefit from innovative battery tech with efficiencies boosted by over 8%, depending on the model. The xDrive45 boasts a 94.8 kWh battery with up to 374 miles of range, while the xDrive60 and M70 pack larger batteries with improved capacities of 109+ kWh. Plus, the introduction of BMW’s MAX RANGE function lets drivers stretch their remaining mileage by up to 25% before a recharge.

Charging capabilities haven’t been overlooked either, with the xDrive60 and M70 supporting up to 195 kW DC fast charging, enabling top-ups to 80% in record time. Furthermore, BMW’s Plug & Charge tech simplifies the charging experience, letting drivers seamlessly integrate charging stops into their journeys via the advanced My BMW app.

The iX continues to set new comfort and performance standards, blending groundbreaking engineering with a sharp design aesthetic. Production is set for the Dingolfing plant, with deliveries kicking off in May 2025. The future of BMW’s electrified luxury SAVs has never been brighter, and the new iX proves why it’s at the peak of this segment.
