Hyundai outlines 100-model offensive and EREV push in 2026 Investor Day Roadmap

Hyundai Motor Company used its 2026 CEO Investor Day in Seoul to lay out one of the most detailed product offensives the brand has announced in recent memory. The plan covers more than 100 model launches or refreshes by 2030, spans every major market, and introduces powertrain options that go from conventional hybrids to to extended-range electric vehicles to cover all bases.

The EREV Arrives — and It Starts with Santa Fe

The headline product news is Hyundai’s first extended-range electric vehicle, the Santa Fe EREV, due in the first half of 2027. Hyundai says it will deliver more than 1000km of total range by pairing an electric drivetrain with an onboard combustion generator, the same basic formula that has gained traction in China and is now drawing interest from Western buyers anxious about charging infrastructure.

The Santa Fe EREV will be built at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, with a clear focus in the United States domestic market. Genesis will follow with its own EREV SUV targeting even more range, also arriving in early 2027. For buyers who have found pure EVs limiting but still want to reduce fuel consumption, the EREV proposition has been getting more and more ground; Whether the market responds remains to be seen, but Hyundai is clearly betting it will.

A Broad Model Push Across Every Region

The 100+ models break down into 58 launches in North America, 49 in Korea, 41 in Europe, 26 in India, and 22 in China, but of course many of these will end up being almost-global releases that we will see in our market, in one way or another. Several are entirely new segments for the brand, including a midsize pickup and light commercial vehicles, areas Hyundai describes as “white spaces” that account for roughly 29 percent of global automotive sales.

A few examples are the super cool IONIQ 3, now on sale in Europe, offering 497 kilometres of range and featuring Hyundai Motor Group’s new Pleos Connect infotainment platform, and the all-new Tucson and Tucson Hybrid launching in initial markets in the fourth quarter of 2026. North America continues to be a priority, thanks to the strong performance led by the Tucson, Palisade, and a growing hybrid range, but the ambitions are global.

Robotaxis, Robots, and a Deepening Amazon Partnership

Beyond conventional vehicles, Hyundai confirmed that the first IONIQ 5 Waymo robotaxis will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2026, assembled at its Georgia plant. International expansion of robotaxi services is targeted as early as 2027. Motional, the group’s autonomous vehicle unit, will also launch a driverless commercial service later this year using IONIQ 5 hardware.
