Peugeot is set to unveil its Polygon concept next month, a car that will effectively underpin the next 208. One of its highlights is a square steering wheel that the French manufacturer are intending to include in the production model!

‘Hypersquare’ was first seen on the Peugeot Inception concept that was unveiled in 2023 and will utilize ‘steer by wire’ technology, a first for the Stellantis group. Polygon will also preview the next generation of Peugeot’s ‘i-Cockpit’ interior which currently sets the cluster/infotainment high up with a small go-kart like steering wheel sitting below it. While the French manufacturer is still intent on a future of pure electric vehicles, they will likely employ a two or three pronged powertrain strategy like the one we currently see on the 5008 which is offered in many markets as an EV, plugin hybrid and a mild-hybrid.
