In a historic first for Bentley, the Crewe based British marque has appointed designer/brand advisor Mai Ikuzawa and photographer/film director Greg Williams as its ‘External Creative Directors’. The two will be tasked with “reaffirming Bentley’s cultural significance.”
Ikuzawa and Williams will work in close quarters with Bentley’s marketing, communications and design departments. Mai will begin with creating a “bold new visual language” for Bentley’s marketing, drawing on her experience in merging sport and luxury. Williams on the other hand will lend his expertise to Bentley’s imaging, both still and in motion.
The duo join Bentley in a year that has seen the unveiling of the EXP15 as well as only the fifth iteration of the ‘Winged B’. There’s plenty to do but undoubtedly the esteemed 106 year history of Bentley will be at the forefront of their work.
