Skoda has unveiled its reimagined Enyaq, marking a decisive step forward in the competitive EV landscape. The Czech automaker’s flagship electric SUV, now in its fourth year, emerges with a striking new identity and substantial performance enhancements.

The most dramatic change comes in the form of Skoda’s new ‘Tech-Deck’ front fascia, featuring an impressive array of 36 LED light segments that create a distinctive horizontal four-eyed nighttime appearance – a signature element of Skoda’s SUV lineup. It’s like Christmas came early, but with more horsepower. This isn’t merely an aesthetic choice; the redesigned front end contributes to a remarkable improvement in aerodynamics, to have it slipping through the air like a greased lightning bolt, with the drag coefficient dropping from 0.264 to 0.245 for the standard model, and an even more impressive 0.225 for the Coupe variant.

Overseas, the refreshed lineup introduces three distinct variants – Entry-level Enyaq 60: Features a 59-kWh usable battery, delivering 201hp and achieving 0-62mph in 8.1 seconds with a range of 268 miles. Mid-range Enyaq 85: Boasts a larger 77-kWh battery, producing 282hp and reaching 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds, with an impressive range of up to 365 miles for the Coupe version. Top-spec Enyaq 85x: Adds dual-motor all-wheel drive while maintaining the same power output but reduces range slightly to 332 miles (334 for the Coupe).

The 2025 model introduces cutting-edge features including, Fast-charging capabilities ranging from 135kW to 175kW, allowing 10-80% charge in 24-28 minutes. A sophisticated “trained parking” function that can memorise up to five different parking locations and execute automated parking maneuvers – it’s like having a valet who never asks for tips or calls in sick. Standard equipment including heated front seats, heated steering wheel, a 5-inch instrument cluster, and a 13-inch infotainment display.
The cabin maintains Skoda’s reputation for practicality while embracing sustainability, with enhanced sustainable material usage throughout the interior. There’s a retention of physical buttons for key functions. It has a digital cockpit with improved user interface and signature ‘Simply Clever’ features like the umbrella in the door and phone pockets on rear seats.

In the European market, the Enyaq positions itself as a compelling alternative to the Tesla Model Y (who doesn’t), offering competitive pricing and superior interior quality while maintaining similar efficiency and range figures . The combination of increased range, improved performance, and advanced features strengthens its position in the increasingly competitive electric SUV segment.
