For its final testing session 0f 2023, the Alpine Endurance Team was in Portimao. As preparations ramp up for the brand’s ‘2024 Hypercar programme’, this was the first session to feature two Alpine A424s and the six official drivers.

So far, the car has seen wind tunnel tests in the USA, continued development in Switzerland and more homologation at the FIA’s Valleiry facilities in France.

During the Portimao tests, the cars covered 3,000k over two day of running. No significant technical problems were reported too! Having the six official drivers on hand meant the crew could work through driver changes and pitlane procedures. This session also presented the opportunity to continue working on tyre compounds with Michelin.
