A Charismatic All-rounder SUV Promising Style, Comfort, and Innovation
The highly anticipated world premiere of Volkswagen’s newest addition to the SUV market, the Tayron, is set to take center stage at the Mondial de l’Auto in Paris from October 14 to 20. Positioned as the second-largest SUV in Volkswagen’s European lineup, just behind the premium Touareg, the Tayron embodies sophistication and versatility, appealing to families and adventurers alike with its spacious design and cutting-edge technology.
Measuring approximately 4.8 metres in length, the Tayron makes a bold statement with its striking SUV aesthetics and robust design. Available with five or, as an option, seven seats, this spacious vehicle is ideal for family road trips or weekend getaways. With up to 885 litres of luggage capacity when the rear seats are folded down, it ensures that all your travel essentials fit comfortably.

Volkswagen is not just focused on aesthetics and spaciousness; the Tayron is also a beacon of efficiency thanks to its innovative plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology. The new Tayron eHybrid boasts an all-electric range of over 100 km, making it an optimal choice for both daily commutes and long-distance journeys with a total range of around 850 km. With towing capacities reaching up to 2.5 tonnes, the Tayron also excels as an adventurous towing vehicle, capable of pulling trailers, boats, or even horse boxes with ease.

At the heart of the Tayron is the emphasis on comfort and quality. The interior reflects Volkswagen’s commitment to premium materials, featuring options like ArtVelours Eco and authentic wood finishes. The entry-level Life version comes packed with generous features, including nine airbags, a three-zone automatic air conditioner, and a 32 cm infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrations.
Volkswagen has ensured that safety and convenience are prioritized with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Noteworthy features include adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, and the new exit warning system, enhancing peace of mind for both drivers and passengers.

The Tayron’s diverse lineup includes various powertrain options, from mild hybrids to robust diesel engines. Upon its pre-sales launch in Germany tomorrow, customers can choose from four drive train configurations, with the entry-level 110 kW eTSI starting at €45,475. The offerings cater to different preferences and needs, solidifying the Tayron’s reputation as a well-rounded SUV.
With its sales launch imminent in Germany, the Tayron is set to redefine expectations in the SUV category. Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, remarked, “The new Tayron is a bona fide Volkswagen: its quality is reflected in every detail.” The Tayron promises to balance modern technology with practical needs, filling the gap between the popular Tiguan and the luxury Touareg.

As the Tayron prepares to debut at the Mondial de l’Auto, motorsport enthusiasts and families alike are eager to experience this robust contender in Volkswagen’s expanding SUV portfolio. With its combination of impressive design, innovative technology, and practicality, the Tayron is poised to make lasting waves in the automotive landscape and become a household name among European families.
