Following special editions of the Karoq and the all-new Elroq, the brand has now pulled the covers off the Škoda Kamiq 130 Years Edition, a compact SUV that’s been given the full birthday treatment. Arriving in Australia this November, this special model aims to blend premium features with sharp pricing, making a strong statement in a fiercely competitive segment.
More Power, More Poise
At the heart of this celebratory Kamiq is the familiar and punchy 1.5-litre 110TSI turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Shared with the sporty Monte Carlo variant, this powertrain delivers a healthy 110kW and 250Nm of torque. That torque figure is noteworthy, placing it among the strongest in the front-wheel-drive compact SUV class, promising brisk acceleration without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
Dressed for the Occasion
Building on the specification of the Kamiq Select and Monte Carlo, the 130 Years Edition distinguishes itself with a host of exterior enhancements. It rides on striking 19-inch ‘Fornax’ alloy wheels and features chrome roof rails and window surrounds for a more premium look. Practicality and tech get a boost with matrix LED headlights that include dynamic cornering, tinted rear windows, and a power tailgate complete with a Virtual Pedal for hands-free operation. A subtle “130 Years” badge on the tailgate is the final nod to its special status.
Four paint colours are available, all included at no extra cost: Moon White metallic, Graphite Grey metallic, Race Blue metallic, and Black Magic pearlescent.
