Premium and Water HEV models further elevate the driving experience with a full-color Heads-Up Display, projecting critical information such as vehicle speed, navigation instructions, and driver assistance alerts directly in the driver’s field of view.

Where the Carnival truly excels is in its remarkable spaciousness and adaptability. The interior offers an incredible array of seating and cargo arrangements, providing unmatched versatility for various needs. Configurations range from a standard two front seats with room for six passengers, to a seven-person setup with extra space in the vehicle’s middle, all the way up to a full complement of eight passengers.
Access is effortless thanks to dual power sliding rear doors on both sides of the vehicle. Deluxe, Premium, and Water HEV models enhance convenience further with “One Touch Open/Close” functionality via the key fob. Higher specification models also pamper occupants with heated and ventilated front row seats, plus heated second-row outer seats.
Climate comfort is assured through dual-zone climate control (standard on Deluxe, Premium, and Water HEV), with separate controls for the driver, front passenger, and second-row passengers, creating personalized comfort zones throughout the vehicle. When cargo capacity takes priority, the Carnival delivers with a cavernous 2,827 liters of space with the second and third rows folded down.
Safety: Peace of Mind for Every Journey
In a vehicle designed to transport up to eight people, safety is paramount. The Kia Carnival prioritizes accident prevention with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies, while providing additional protection through strategically placed airbags throughout the cabin.
All model grades come standard with Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, and Lane Following Assist. - A 1.6-litre Smartstream turbo-petrol with parallel Hybrid System (Water HEV), delivering combined figures of 180kW and 367Nm, with exceptional fuel economy of 6.4 litres per 100km.
Towing capabilities are impressive as well, with diesel models rated at 2,000kg braked/750kg unbraked, while the Water HEV can handle 1,000kg braked/750kg unbraked.
Pricing and Warranty
The refreshed Kia Carnival starts at $62,990 plus on-road costs. Models with internal combustion engines come with a five-year/150,000km factory warranty, while the Water HEV enjoys an extended seven-year/150,000km warranty. All variants include a five-year unlimited kilometer Roadside Assistance program that transfers with ownership.
Looking ahead, Kia is considering introducing an additional hybrid model – the Light HEV – which would position below the Water HEV in terms of specifications and potentially provide a more accessible entry point to the hybrid lineup.
