It’s official, the next generation Opel Astra and Astra Sports Tourer will soon be unveiled. In the meantime, Opel are promising a car that offers “features otherwise only known from higher vehicle classes.” Astra has traditionally been the brand’s best seller, a nameplate that has lasted nearly 90 years!
The new model is set to be better in every way than the previous model, promising to be “sharper, more technical and even more eye catching” with some of the design elements in particular taking inspiration from the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept vehicle. As is tradition, the new Astra designed, engineered and will be made in Russelsheim, the home of Opel. A new ‘Opel Vizor’ will adorn the car, this time the Blitz will be lit up as well, a first for the Astra!
