Owned by Eagers Automotive, the biggest automotive retailer in ANZ, the launch of easyauto123 in New Zealand follows the successful Australian launch of the brand that began in Perth in 2016 and has been followed by the opening of another four branches across Australia.

Mike Critchley, Eagers Automotive’s NZ General Manager, says the Australian success shows used car buyers want and deserve a premium service and that this new offering will provide that to New Zealand used car buyers.

“Now more than ever people are looking for ways to save money without compromising on quality or service, that’s why all our cars sold are quality verified with a 100pt safety and mechanical check.

“It’s about injecting fun back into the used car buying process. easyauto123 is committed to righting the negative stereotypes about buying used; from the fear of buying a lemon, to the risk of paying too much, and the lack of service after purchase.”

While located in Manukau, Auckland, easyauto123 is a nationwide offering with an online-driven concept, dedicated online specialists, 24 hour holds with a $500 online deposit, and nationwide delivery.

Cars come with a range of benefits including a free 12-month powertrain protection plan and 12-month roadside assistance programme. All easyauto123 cars can access fixed price service and $20 WOFs for life, as well as free loan cars and Nitrofill for tyres.

While the group has sat around 6.5% of the total NZ new car market registrations and majority of its dealerships taking first or second place in brand sales volumes, they believe the new offering will enhance and compliment their existing franchise operation.

“We’re really excited about bringing this evolutionary brand to market. It appeals to a broad demographic that want choice in a different selling format with easy finance and no pressure-selling, combined with ongoing peace of mind motoring.” says Critchley.

“It’s about offering used car customers a premium and easy buying experience – it’s really the reason easy is in our name,” he says.
