Luxury sneaker brand, Endstate and the BWT Alpine F1 Team have launched their first collaboration, a “contemporary luxury travel sneaker”. However, this piece is exclusively for the team and takes a step in the direction of marrying footwear design with high performance motorsport.
Officially called the ‘BWT Alpine Formula One Team x Endstate sneaker’, it features a white premium leather upper with eye catching details. The aspects of which are a nod to Alpine’s team. It’s not all form though, the sneaker has plenty of function too with the elevated sole providing comfort.
The highlight of the sneaker is the inclusion of an Endstate NFC chip (3chop) embedded in the tongue of the shoe. A tap of your smartphone on the tongue will connect the owners to the Alpine’s loyalty ecosystem and effectively offers digital certification for this limited edition pair of footwear. The two brands say that this collaboration offers an insight into the future of luxury sportswear collectibles.
