Alfa Romeo Announces Giulia and Stelvio Will Live on Until 2027

Car enthusiasts all around the world are currently celebrating as Alfa Romeo have announced they will continue production of the Giulia and Stelvio until 2027, that includes the hot Quadrifoglio versions as well!

Bursting on the scene in 2015, the two cars were based on Alfa Romeo’s revolutionary Giorgio platform and widely acclaimed by journalists, race drivers and owners alike. Both cars would go on to earn a place in the hearts and dream garages of enthusiasts all around the globe, despite being some of the oldest vehicles still on sale today.

Tightening emissions and increasingly stringent safety regulations have meant that Alfa changed focus to shift more units of the Tonale and Junior. Both the Giulia and Stelvio were set to cease production earlier this year, to be replaced by fully electric versions. However, with the global car market still favouring combustion engine vehicles, Alfa Romeo have done a 180 and announced that they will keep the dynamic duo on sale until 2027.

The two have only undergone minor facelifts throughout their 10 year production run thus far but still remain some of the prettiest new cars available today. While their designs are standing the test of time, it is yet to be seen whether the engines will pass Euro 7 regulation changes that come into force next year.

While an electric Stelvio and Giulia aren’t to be ruled out yet, it could well be that the brand will offer a multi-powertrain approach where the two cars are concerned
