A Symphony of Past, Present, and Future Performance
At the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, BMW is set to deliver a powerful statement, bringing its “Ultimate Driving Machine” philosophy to life through a spectacular showcase of innovation, performance, heritage, and luxury. From July 10-13, the iconic Goodwood Estate will serve as the stage for four major UK premieres, a tribute to a legendary nameplate, and a celebration of motorsport milestones, demonstrating a brand that is simultaneously honoring its past while aggressively defining its future.

The Future Unveiled: A Vision of the Neue Klasse
The centerpiece of BMW’s innovative display is a trio of UK premieres offering a tangible glimpse into the brand’s electric and dynamic future. Leading the charge up the famed Goodwood hill climb will be the BMW Vision Driving Experience, a high-performance test vehicle designed to push driving dynamics to their physical limits. This vehicle, which is not intended for series production, serves as a “rolling test rig” to stress-test the “Heart of Joy”—the advanced drivetrain and driving dynamics management technology developed for the forthcoming Neue Klasse. With up to 18,000 Nm of torque on tap, its performance at Goodwood will be a dramatic demonstration of the capabilities underpinning BMW’s next generation of vehicles, which will begin with a series production model in autumn 2025.

Joining it is the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, which presents the future of the brand’s Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) line and foreshadows the forthcoming BMW iX3. It merges a classic two-box BMW X model silhouette with a clean, modern design language, signaling a new aesthetic era for the brand. Alongside the SAV concept, the BMW Vision Neue Klasse saloon will also be on display, providing a comprehensive look at the design forms that will shape BMW’s future models.

Peak Performance and Exquisite Luxury
Upholding its reputation for thrilling performance, BMW will debut the highly anticipated all-new BMW M2 CS in the UK. Following its global reveal at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, this latest special edition from BMW M GmbH will be seen thundering up the hill and will be a main feature on the BMW stand. It will be joined on the hill climb by the first-ever BMW M3 CS Touring, a formidable addition to the M lineup.

The fourth UK premiere is the BMW Concept Speedtop, a striking shooting brake that exemplifies the pinnacle of luxury and craftsmanship. This elegant concept paves the way for a highly exclusive, limited series production run of just 70 units globally. Visitors can view this model in the dedicated BMW Individual Lounge, which also features the range-topping BMW i7 M70 xDrive and offers guests a chance to explore bespoke personalization options.
A Celebration of Unforgettable Heritage
BMW Group Classic will play a significant role at the festival, celebrating three major anniversaries: 50 years of the iconic BMW 3 Series, 75 years of Formula 1, and 40 years since the brand’s victorious 1985 “Paris-Dakar” rally.
The 3 Series’ half-century milestone will be honored with a seven-generation parade on Thursday, July 10. Furthermore, legendary race car versions of the 3 Series, including the “BMW 320 Group 5,” “BMW 318i touring car,” and “BMW M3 GTR,” will be piloted up the 1.16-mile course by racing heroes such as Marc Surer, Dirk Adorf, and Andy Priaulx. To commemorate the F1 anniversary, Marc Surer will also drive the fabled “Brabham BMW BT 52 Turbo”—the car that won the 1983 Formula 1 World Championship. On two wheels, the “BMW R 80 G/S Paris-Dakar” will perform several hill climbs to honor its rally success.

Immersive Experiences for All
Beyond the vehicle displays, BMW is offering a range of immersive experiences. Guests can test their skills in “The Ultimate Racing Machine” sim racing garage, going head-to-head in the BMW M Hybrid V8 prototype race car. The BMW Motorrad stand will feature a rolling road for two-wheeled thrills, while the “Sounds and Stories” studio will host live conversations with personalities like racing driver Charlie Martin and presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson.

Overall, BMW’s presence at Goodwood 2025 is a masterfully curated exhibition. It artfully connects the dots from its race-proven heritage and current M performance benchmarks to a clearly defined, technologically advanced, and dynamically thrilling electric future embodied by the Neue Klasse.
