The MG Mystics have been crowned back-to-back champions in the ANZ Premiership Netball Competition, defeating the Pulse 54-53 in a tense but thrilling final. This is the team’s third Grand Final win, after successfully claiming the title in 2021, 2023 and again in 2024.
“MG would like to acknowledge and celebrate a true team of champions, one which showed grit and
determination throughout the championship,” said MG Motor New Zealand Chief Operating Officer,
Harrie Yan.
“The MG Mystics are a proud netball franchise with an enviable heritage, a huge and vibrant fan base
and strong ties to the community.
“We would also like to recognise the outstanding efforts of not just the players on the court but the
entire Mystics organisation, it’s been one massive season full of challenges, we’re so proud of you
all.”
The title-claiming win was made even more special as it comes during MG’s centenary year, with the
brand celebrating 100-years of operation in 2024.
“It’s the icing on the cake that the MG Mystics have won the championship in such a significant and
milestone year for MG,” said Mr Yan.
