Mercedes-Benz have unveiled a teaser of their next generation Sprinter van through an “expressive sculpture.” The German brand invented the van back in 1896 and will celebrate ‘130 years of Transportation’ come 2026, bringing along a pristine example of the world’s oldest roadworthy delivery van to mark the occasion!
To celebrate the unveiling and next year’s anniversary or vanniversary if you will (sorry), Mercedes brought along its historic van mentioned before as well as a ‘Benz combinations delivery vehicle’ and a current generation ‘eSprinter. Throughout their 130 year history, the Tri-Star’s vans have come to be known as “rock solid, dependable business tools”, hence why they chose to unveil their next generation vehicle through “THE BOuLDER” sculpture pictured below.
The sculpture was carved from a single piece and hints at what the next generation Sprinter will look like in terms of exterior design as well as dimensions. Promising to be even more “efficient, intelligent and versatile” than ever before, the upcoming Sprinter will be available in a commercial variant or as a grand limousine, offering both electric and combustion powertrains. As previously, there will be variations for campers, couriers, parcel deliverers, refrigeration, ambulances and for those with mobility needs as well as passenger transport. It also promises to be “more digital than ever before”, using the latest generation of MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) for improved connectivity and driving experiences.
