Mazda unveils their all-new CX-80

Following the recent launch of the CX-60 and CX-90, the first-ever Mazda CX-80 is confirmed for New Zealand launch and is the next model to be engineered on Mazda’s Large Architecture platform.

At almost five metres long and sharing the extended wheelbase of the CX-90, the Mazda CX-80 will offer supreme levels of space, comfort and versatility for up to seven occupants.

Continuing with the latest evolution of Mazda’s unique KODO design approach, the designers have focused on the elegance and purity of a minimalist Japanese aesthetic, combining a striking design both inside and out, featuring the highest quality materials within the cabin.

Mazda CX-80 NZ

Available from launch the Mazda CX-80 is available with an e-Skyactiv PHEV powertrain, combining a four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. First seen on the CX-60 with a system output of 241 kW of power and 500 Nm of torque, this Plug-in Hybrid powertrain offers strong and engaging performance matched with outstanding environmental credentials.

Available exclusively with Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system, its rear-biased, permanent all-wheel drive system combines the stability and traction of AWD with the neutral cornering characteristics of a rear-wheel drive set-up, to deliver the signature ‘Jinba Ittai’ driving performance experienced in every Mazda.

Accompanying the dynamic CX-60 and flagship CX-90 in the local range, the Mazda CX-80 will confidently add to the Mazda SUV range and offer a new level of refinement and performance to large SUV customers in New Zealand.
