The world’s most capable and iconic SUV adds enhanced styling, new technology and safety features; all while delivering the freedom only a Jeep Wrangler can offer. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler range is made of four variants: new Sport S 4DR (replaces Night Eagle 4DR), Overland 4DR, and Rubicon 2DR and 4DR.

Powertrain
The 2024 lineup brings a significant change with its new 2.0L 4-cyl turbo petrol engine, boasting 200 kW of maximum power and 400 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous engine, this delivers similar power at a lower RPM, substantially higher torque, while being more fuel-efficient. Remarkably, towing capacity remains unchanged.

Exterior
The new 2024 Jeep Wrangler is a testament to timeless design evolution. The sculptural design aesthetic, synonymous with Jeep’s heritage, is accentuated by the updated seven-slot grille. Boasting black textured slots, metallic bezels, and a body-color surround, the iconic feature receives a contemporary refresh. The slimmer vertical slots are not only a visual update, but they also deliver improved cooling for superior performance.

A new trail-ready stealth antenna integrated into the front “Gorilla Glass”, streamlines the Wrangler’s appearance, and eliminates brush or tree limb snags on the trail. Additionally, all four variants have fresh wheel designs for 2024.

Interior
The redesigned Jeep Wrangler interior combines premium features, technology, and Jeep’s renowned versatility. The heritage-inspired center stack complements the horizontal dashboard, featuring soft-touch surfaces with contrast stitching. Enhanced hands-free voice recognition is now standard on all models, utilising microphone array technology.

Updates include a refined gauge cluster, instrument panel bolster bezels, and a polyurethane (Overland, Rubicon) or fabric (Sport S) wrapped instrument panel bolster. The Uconnect 5 system resides on a new 12.3-inch touchscreen above the center stack.

All variants feature an integrated accessory rail atop the dash for mounting devices like smartphones and action cameras. The entry-level Sport S now includes standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and ambient lighting.

Overland and Rubicon models boast standard 12-way power seating (including 4-way lumbar adjust) for the driver and front passenger. Notably, the new hard seat back panels prioritise practicality and easy maintenance, aligning with the adventurous spirit of the Wrangler.

Technology
The newly introduced 12.3-inch touchscreen stands as the most extensive and sophisticated display ever presented on the Wrangler, hosting the Uconnect 5 system. Among the latest additions are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully customisable home screen for swift access to frequently used features, and one-touch operation.

Capability
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler lineup boasts the esteemed Trail Rated badge, showcasing an unparalleled specification list that includes Dana solid front and rear axles, a 2-speed transfer case, traction control, and four skid plates. Elevating the standard, the new model introduces the next-generation HD Dana 44 full-float rear axle and a forward-facing TrailCam exclusively on Rubicon models.

The innovative Rubicon full-float rear axle design separates the wheel hub assembly from the axle shaft, enhancing weight distribution to the axle tube. This design allows for improved lateral force camber compliance and facilitates easier customisation for tyre upsizing.

The TrailCam eliminates close-proximity blind spots during trail navigation and aids in power delivery on angled bends. Placed atop the Jeep grille, the camera lens remains debris-free, and an automatic washing system ensures clear visibility.

Emphasising efficiency, the 2024 Wrangler incorporates lightweight, high-strength aluminium closures and a body-on-frame design with a 5-link front and rear suspension. The suspension features upper and lower high-strength steel control arms, full-width high-strength steel track bars, and tuned shocks for a balanced on-road and off-road performance.

The Wrangler’s capability is further enhanced by 4×4 systems tailored to each model. Sport S and Overland models feature the Selec-Trac 4×4 System, providing automatic 2WD to 4WD transitions based on conditions. Rubicon models come standard with the Rock-Trac 4×4 System, offering a 4:1 low gear ratio, Tru-Lok® electronic locking front and rear differentials, and an electronic front sway bar disconnect.

Safety
The 2024 Wrangler lineup introduces a standard inclusion of first and second row side curtain airbags across all models, complementing the existing driver and passenger front and side seat-mounted airbags. Coupled with the existing suite of safety technologies, the 2024 Wrangler stands as an impressive and well-rounded safety package.
