In just over 30 years since its unveiling, the Honda CR-V has gone on to sell more than 15 million units across the globe. The family friendly SUV has been a runaway success for the Japanese brand and through the years, it has become synonymous with “comfort, reliability and innovation”. Kiwis have known the nameplate since the late 1990s with Honda selling thousands of these cars in New Zealand itself.
CR-V or the “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle” was one of the early pioneers of the urban friendly SUV market, its recipe combined practicality with refinement, a recipe that has stood the test of time across six generations of vehicles. Now, the latest generation CR-V RS e:HEV goes a step further, adding a planet friendly approach to the mix, not to mention that the latest generation is the brand’s safest yet thanks to Honda Sensing technology.
Honda New Zealand’s MD, Carolyn McMahon credits the CR-V’s success to “Honda’s commitment t quality, safety and innovation”, and she was also proud to announce that the brand will indeed be celebrating the occasion as its dealerships across the country. It’s a special milestone for a brand whose relationship with New Zealand goes back to 1988!
