7th Generation Mustang GT Convertible available to order in NZ

o vehicle is more synonymous with freedom and the open road than the Ford Mustang. Make that Ford Mustang a convertible and it takes it up another level.

Ford New Zealand is happy to announce New Zealanders can now order an All New, Seventh Generation Ford Mustang GT Convertible. Customers can place orders today with their local Ford dealer or online at www.ford.co.nz.

With a Recommended Retail Price of $99,990, orders placed today for the convertible model are scheduled to arrive slightly later than initial GT Fastbacks and special edition Dark Horse models. The Mustang Convertible is slated to arrive in early 2025.

The seventh generation Mustang is the most exhilarating and visceral yet, from its fighter jet-inspired digital cockpit to new advanced naturally aspirated engines to its edgier yet timeless exterior design.

The Ford Mustang GT Convertible will be powered by the advanced, 5.0-litre Coyote V8 engine paired with Ford’s advanced 10-speed automatic transmission that almost instantaneously reconfigures its shift patterns to match the selected drive mode. The fourth-generation 5.0-litre is set to deliver the most naturally aspirated horsepower of any Mustang GT thanks to an innovative dual air intake box and dual-throttle body design, that helps minimise induction loss by enabling higher air flow rates.

7th Generation Mustang – Next week marks the 60th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang. Ford dealers from around New Zealand have taken orders for the 7th Generation Mustang GT as well as the limited-edition Mustang Dark Horse. The Dark Horse is proving to be a very hot item with New Zealand allocation of the manual Dark Horse already selling out. Dealers are still taking orders for the Mustang GT and a handful of Dark Horse automatics may still be available.

NZ Debut at 2024 ITM Taupō Super400 – For customers and fans who want a special sneak preview, Ford New Zealand has secured an early build All-New 7th Generation Mustang GT. The very first 7th Generation Mustang to arrive in country, it will make its New Zealand debut at 2024 ITM Taupō Super400 April 19-21. Customers and fans are invited to be the first to see it in the metal at the event.

60th Anniversary Celebrations – The world’s best-selling sports car, the Ford Mustang will turn 60 on April 17th this year and Ford will be hosting celebrations around the world. 

More than nine million Mustangs have been sold since it was first launched in 1964. The world’s most-liked vehicle on Facebook, Mustang has made thousands of appearances in film, television, music and video games.
