The Audi Q3 was first launched in 2011 and has since gone on to sell more than two million units across the globe! Audi’s plant in Gyor, Hungary has been responsible for half of that number and the plant recently took a moment to celebrate the occasion.

Audi’s history in Hungary (Audi Hungaria) dates back to 1993 when the plant was first established, going on to produce more than 45 million engines and two million cars. The plant took on production of the Q3 and Q3 Sportback in 2018, bringing up the million mark in just seven years.
Over the course of more than 30 years, the plant has become a success story not just for Audi but also for manufacturing in Hungary. 2024 saw particularly high numbers with 99,288 Q3s and 63,769 Q3 Sportbacks leaving the factory within the twelve months.
The story is set to continue too with production of the new generation Q3 set to begin later this year.
