Audi has recently become the latest iconic automotive brand to collaborate with Mattel’s Brick Shop with Hot Wheels having already featured models from the house of Quattro previously. The collaboration kicks off with two Audi icons replicated in brick form, the RS2 Avant and R8 LMS racecar.
Already available via Amazon, Target, Walmart and online, the Avant RS2 features in 1:16 scale while the R8 LMS is 1:32 scale. The two vehicles were chosen due to their “iconic designs, storied heritage and legendary status among car fanatics”, there’s an element of customization built in for those enthusiasts who like to modify their cars. Funnily enough, Mattel’s partnership with Audi dates back to 1993 when the brand first featured in the Hot Wheels stables with the two having gone on to make some exciting creations since then.
Mattel will debut these new Brick Shop creations during their upcoming Legends Tour in El Segundo, California as well.
