Bentley has revealed a First Edition of its all-new Torcal, combining the model’s most powerful 888 PS powertrain with a bundle of styling, comfort and audio options fitted as standard.
Launch editions usually follow a familiar formula of special badges, a unique wheel and a price premium. Bentley’s Torcal First Edition has all of those. It also adds a long list of equipment that buyers would normally have to tick box by box.
Announced in Crewe, the First Edition marks the arrival of the all-new Bentley Torcal. Bentley has collected features and finishes that are usually sold individually and made them standard on this launch specification.

The Strongest Torcal Powertrain
First, the headline figures. The First Edition uses the most powerful Torcal powertrain, producing 888 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque. Bentley quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds (0-60 mph takes 2.8 seconds) and a top speed of 260 km/h.
These are manufacturer figures, and the release gives no detail on the powertrain itself. In practical terms, the launch car comes with the top output as standard, rather than leaving it as an option.

Carbon Details on the Outside
On the outside, Bentley has gone for a sportier look. The Carbon Fibre Styling Specification adds carbon front bumper winglets, mirror caps, side sills and a rear diffuser.
The unique 22-inch wheels pair a gloss black finish with Liquid Silver spokes and self-levelling Bentley badges. Graphene Grey brake calipers by Mulliner sit behind them. A First Edition badge on the front fender completes the package, so it stays fairly understated by Bentley standards.

More Colour Choice in the Cabin
Inside, the Colour Specification expands the personalisation options. It adds extra colour splits (two of them by Mulliner), eight accent colours and the option of a third interior colour. Buyers can also choose a full leather interior with contrast stitching.
Gloss Carbon Fibre trim is standard, and alternative finishes cost nothing extra. Bespoke seat quilting with contrasting chevrons, illuminated First Edition treadplates and deep-pile overmats complete the cabin.
Comfort, Doors and a Serious Stereo
Comfort gets plenty of attention. Wellness front seats are fitted, and the Rear Comfort Seat Specification gives both outer rear passengers ventilation and comfort headrests.
The First Edition also includes two new Torcal features: powered front and rear doors, and the Frosted Diamond Switchable Sunroof. Bentley hasn’t explained how the sunroof works, but the name suggests glass that can switch between clear and frosted.
Then there’s the audio. The Naim for Bentley system has 1,780 W running through 28 speakers. It adds seat transducers that you feel through the seat, speakers in the front headrests and Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 support.

What’s Still Missing
Bentley’s release leaves out pricing, production numbers and delivery timing. It also doesn’t say whether the First Edition is a limited run or simply the launch trim.
Even so, the approach is clear. Rather than making early buyers build a fully loaded Torcal from the options list, Bentley has done it for them. For a brand that makes much of its money from options, that is a notable choice.
