With the success of the second generation A110, it’s no surprise then that Alpine has confirmed the imminent arrival of a third generation but perhaps what was surprising was the way in which it has been unveiled. Debuting in “sculptural form”, the third gen A110 marries art and technology whilst retaining its mid-engined silhouette through a “curvaceous interpretation” as pictured below.

The sculpture will be on display at the 2026 Paris Motor Show where Alpine is expected to play a starring role. It’s the second time in the brand’s 71 year history that their iconic A110 has seen a rebirth of sorts! We’ve already seen the APP (Alpine Performance Platform) concept which sprinted up Goodwood Festival of Speed‘s famous hillclimb earlier in the year but it’s the sculpture that will provide us with a more realistic idea of what the road going car will eventually look like.

From what we can see (and what the press release tells us), key design elements like the ‘V-shaped shark-nose’, ‘dual light signature’ and ‘teardrop-shaped cabin’ all remain despite the model transitioning into a pure electric vehicle! Details of the powertrain are yet to be disclosed but given the underpinnings of the A290 and A390, it’s safe to assume that some of this might perhaps carry over into the sportscar.
